Every firefighter must expect that not all victim or bystander is as cooperative as the others, there will always be some who thinks the opposite and might even cause more stress to the team.

- Good communication skills both verbal and written to ensure that every message is relayed to each member of the team.
- Positive attitude.
- Must be able to handle each situation with calmness and expertise.
- Must have the ability to concentrate especially during emergency situations.
- Must respect the different values and beliefs of his teammates.
- Must think about the welfare of the group and not about himself only.
